2022 World Internet of Things Convention Kicked off in Beijing

The 2022 World Internet of Things Convention, the 7th WIOTC annual conference hosted by the IoT international organization World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) and cohosted by the Diplomatic Council, just concluded with full success in Beijing on February 10 and 11, 2023, which attracted global eyes. ANTÓNIO GUTERRES, Secretary-General of the United Nations, delivered a special speech for the convention via video link. JEAN-PIERRE RAFFARIN, Former Prime Minister of France, SHAHBAZ KHAN, Director of UNESCO Office in Beijing, ZHANG QIN, Standing Member of the 13th National Committee of CPPCC, SIROUS VATANKHAH MOGHADDAM, President of Center for the Progress and Development of Iranian Presidency, ROBERT KHACHATRYAN, Minister of the High-Tech Industry Ministry of the Republic of Armenia, GONG KE, Former President of WFEO, ULRIKA FRANCKE, ISO President and ANDREAS DRIPKE, Global Chairman of the Diplomatic Council gave important speeches for the opening ceremony. The President Office of the European Union and the Office of Secretary General of ITU sent messages to the convention with wishes for the successful event. Ambassadors, counsellors, and senior diplomats from Germany, France, Canada, Greece, Serbia, Brazil, Malta, Moldova, Mexico, Pakistan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Armenia, UAE, Venezuela, Nepal, Qatar, Palestine, Algeria, Namibia, Panama and Lebanon, etc joined the event on the site. Government leaders, ambassadors and counsellors in China, academicians, scholars, corporate and media representatives from more than 100 countries attended the conference through online and offline formats. Nearly 33 million audiences and guests watch the live convention, including the live link of Baidu Xirang Metaverse Platform. Mrs. Liang Zi, WIOTC Spokeswoman, hosted this annual conference.

Feeling pleased to send his greetings to the World Internet of Things Convention, the UN Secretary-General Mr. António Guterres, when addressing the convention, observed, “The Internet of Things offers great potential for sustainable development – from energy savings to remote medical procedures, from access to education to healthier nutrition. Technologies are transforming lives and livelihoods. A fully interconnected new economy means leaving no one behind. We must work together to bridge the digital divide in this decade to ensure everyone has meaningful access- it also opens new doors for economic growth. At the same time, we must prevent and reduce the dangers of digital technologies”. In closing, he encourages us to “build a fair and safe digital future for all people, everywhere”.

In his keynote report, Mr. He Xuming, Chairman of WIOTC Executive Committee, told the conference, “Government agencies and enterprises from nearly 100 countries and regions around the world have established more than 200, 000 ad-hoc agencies, institutions and social organizations for the exploration and application of IoT. It is estimated that the annual output of IoT economy in the world will exceed 8 trillion USD, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent or so. The construction and investment of IoT infrastructure has overtaken the total of the recent ten years, along with 700, 000 application platforms and living service systems of IoT industry developed around the world.” He explained the new ideas that “the IoT is a new engine driving the progress and development of world economy and society and that it is a carrier where digital economy, real economy and intelligent technology integrate deeply with one another”. Meanwhile, he also proposed the methods to build the digital economic market system supported by the internet of things. Furthermore, he pointed out the potential problems facing the development of IoT digital economy. In the middle of his speech, he announced in his proposed measure that “WIOTC is opening its membership of Presidium to the world, enabling countries in the world on an equal footing to join WIOTC with the membership of the organization’s presidium and working together to formulate an international convention on the internet of things based on consultation to address the fundamental issue of global interconnection of everything.” “WIOTC will continue to establish globally influential industry-specific commissions focusing on IoT digital economy. By so doing, companies and organizations can join equally and access the ecological resources of world IoT digital economic market and WIOTC will support enterprises in terms of building an industrial ecological market and expanding the sales market of product and technology”, he continued.

Mr. Jean-Pierre Raffarin, Former Prime Minister of France, expressing thanks for inviting him to attend this important event in his speech, thought “it is an important event for an essential subject in global economic development”. He said the internet of things is a strategic element of global economic and social cohesion. “The Internet allows civil society, actors on the ground in cities, villages, businesses, everywhere in organizations to express themselves better and participate better. So we must multiply our efforts”, he mentioned.

Mr. Robert Khachatryan, Minister of the High-Tech Industry Ministry of the Republic of Armenia, said when speaking at the convention, “The Armenian government has introduced the development strategy of digitalized economy and society and some guidelines, which are of guiding significance to continuous digitalized development for the whole society of Armenia”. “Countries around the world are channeling great efforts into pushing for the progress of digitalization. A series of activities that we carry out serve the purpose of pursuing the development of high technology and create value-added products to achieve the long-term economic development of the nation. At the same time, we are working with international organizations to share the best practices”, he said.

Mr. Sirous Vatankhah Moghaddam, President of the Center for the Progress and Development of Iranian Presidency, suggested that significant progress has been made in terms of digital economy and the fourth industrial revolution in the Islamic Republic of Iran. “The development and application of new technologies like AI, block chain and IoT are very interesting to people”, he said.

Mr. Zhang Qin, Standing Member of the 13th National Committee of CPPCC, said, “The development of IoT is helpful to dissipate the impact of Covid-19, makes the world interconnected, and offers the world peace and stability, thus bringing new life to the development of world economy and society. The general strategy of “Accelerating the development of IoT and digital economy” was proposed in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China”. By the end of 2022, China has seen 1.845 billion mobile internet of things connections, increasing by 447 million compared with the end of 2021, and at the same time, it was 161 million more than the amount of mobile phone users. The connection of things outnumbered the connection of people for the first time, accounting for 70 percent of the total of global users of internet of things. All these show the IoT effectively support the development of digital industrialization and industrial digitalization. As a big country focusing on the innovative development, China can provide reference for the rest of the world. We are pleased to see WIOTC is playing an active and constructive role as an IoT international organization, following the high-end and leading characteristics as a global organization playing its bigger role in the innovative development of IoT digital economy”.

Prof. Shahbaz Khan, Director of the UNESCO Office in Beijing, said “The UNESCO is also promoting the initiative of open science and data, and we are willing to work together with WIOTC for the abovementioned cooperation. We are taking a big move to push forward the development of artificial intelligence and open data and connect data to provide more perceptive abilities and ensure the sustainable management of IoT and its resources. It is an undoubtedly right time for WIOTC to establish these important commissions on industry, agriculture, smart life and so on. We will work with WIOTC for continuous and close cooperation to bridge the digital divide”.

Ms. Ulrika Francke, President of ISO, highlighted the fact that IoT can offer more and greater possibilities and development potential. “While seeing the great potential of IoT, we need to ensure its mutual operability, so ISO has especially set up a special group to tackle these issues. Digital economic development, including continuous digitalized reform of supply chain. We can play an important role by working with WIOTC for world progress”, she mentioned.

Mr. Gong Ke, Past President of WEFO, said “IoT is a strong and powerful tool empowering us to realize the Sustainable Development Goals and driving the general and ubiquitous interconnection. Through the IoT, people can connect each other and communicate with each other. But more importantly, IoT can connect both people and things. We hope World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) held as an important event can be regarded as a powerful platform for stakeholders to render their contributions. And I believe WIOTC can play an important role”.

In his report, Mr. Wu Hequan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, mentioned “The number of connected IoT facilities in the world will reach 27.1 billion by 2025. The growth rate of non-cellular IoT in China registers 32.5percent, much higher than the global rate. The proportion of IoT in China accounts for 30 percent of the world total, and the cellular IoT amounts to 75 percent of the global total. In last September, the connection of cellular IoT outpaced that of cellphone users, as we begin to usher in an era of things outnumbering people. The 5G has expanded the application of IoT, enabling IoT to develop into AIoT ( AI plus IoT). Besides, the emergence of 5G has enriched the application of IoT to a larger degree and we need high broad band IoT. The IoT has its special characteristics, so there are many special requirements. The so-called industry internet is firstly the industry IoT, so in this way, this makes our real economy develop by better integrating into the big context of digital economy”.

Mr. Zuo Mozhi, Vice President of Haier Smart Home, spoke with the theme “Exploring the Smart Life in the Era of IoT”, mentioning that Haier Smart Home takes intelligent appliances as the basis, with products found in many countries, but in China the direction is moving from intelligent appliances to smart home which is closer to the internet of things. “The brand “Sanyiniao” (Three-Winged Bird) of Haier Smart Home, focuses on the scene of smart home. With smartness as the core, and intelligent appliances as the starting point, the brand combines the product and service including smart home life and smart decoration while providing the way of smart life”, he added. Finally, he explained the three smart abilities of Sanyiniao, including intelligent connection, intelligent perception, intelligent decision-making and intelligent interaction”.


When speaking at the Ambassador Forum, Mr. Andreas Dripke, Global Chairman of the Diplomatic Council, said "The internet of things is now becoming more and more important, so the Commission on Science and Technology for Development has incorporated the internet of things into the 2030 Agenda. We are very pleased to attend 2022 World Internet of Things Convention this year, as we believe WIOTC is one of most important events in the world. Now the world is increasingly moving towards digitalization, so we need to rely on IoT technology to change our world constantly".

At the Ambassador Forum, Greek Ambassador to China Dr. Evgenios Kalpyris, Moldovan Ambassador to China Mr. Dumitru Braghis, Maltese Ambassador to China Mr. John Busuttil, Namibian Ambassador to China Mr. Elia G. Kaiyamo, and Counsellor of the Mexican Embassy to China Mr. Hector Dorbecker gave impressive speeches introducing the IoT digital economic development, proposing the suggestions and opinions for strengthening international cooperation, reducing the digital divide, and pushing forward the global development of IoT digital economy. As they suggested, we need WIOTC, this platform, and should increase exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world on the exploration, application and industrial development of IoT digital economy and promote the economic recovery and technologically innovative development of their countries.

Speaking at the forum, Dr. Evgenios Kalpyris observed, “We can see that as new communication network technologies, big data and artificial intelligence are constantly strengthening, IoT is optimizing its efficiency and its profits are also on the rise, so there is continuous emergence of innovative products. Currently, we are seeing it playing an important role in main economic activities - from industrial production to environmental protection and from health to finance”.

In his speech, Mr. Dumitru Braghis said, “Moldova is an important participant of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and we think it very beneficial to the bilateral cooperation projects of our governments. I believe today’s WIOTC will further bring the bond between China and Moldova closer”.

In his speech, Mr. John Busuttil suggested, “The world is continuing to survive the epidemic. The development of technology including IoT and relevant technologies has brought unprecedented opportunities to us and will make our future more sustainable. IoT and related technologies are changing people’s life and work. By the same token, we need to adopt IoT technologies among more industries and companies”.

According to Mr. Elia G. Kaiyamo, “Certainly, the development of IoT is very importance not only to China but also to Namibia, a country in Africa. We should fully seize the opportunities that the history gives us, and Namibia is eager to learn from China in this regard. We hope to make possible these learning and communications through the platform of World Internet of Things Convention”.

Mr. Hector Dorbecker introduced the situation of IoT development in Mexico, adding that “By leveraging the IoT technology, we can also bring Mexico and China closer and promote the world development”.

At the World New Economic Forum, Mr. Harvard Dzodin, Senior Fellow of Center for China and Globalization, Mr. Li Bohu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Liu Yanshen, Deputy Director of National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, Mr. He Xuming, Chairman of WIOTC Executive Committee, Mr. WONG Chau Chi, Chairman of Silkwave Inc, Mr. Wang Zhicheng, Head for IoT Open Laboratory of China Telecommunications Group and Ms. Mou Lei, General Manager for the Operation of Digital Twin Product Department of Tencent joined the forum in the form of dialogue. They began a heated dialogue revolving around the topics: Can the global interconnection of everything drive a new climax of the globalized economy? Can the IoT digital economy become mainstream of the world economy? What is the direction toward the innovation development of world economy and society? The dialogue was hosted by Su Tao, Vice Chairman of WIOTC Executive Committee.

Mr. Harvard Dzodin said “Chairman He Xuming was truly ahead of his time when he founded the WIOTC in 2015. As the Internet of Things continues to become more and more a global fact of world economy, public life and progress and development”. He believed that the global Internet of Things will be a major driver of the post-Covid era and the IoT digital economy will be a major economic global pillar. The direction toward innovative development of both the world economy and society will build a win-win shared future for al.

Mr. Li Bohu thought that “The development of digital new economy supported by the internet of things is the direction and mainstream of the development of world economy and society. New networking technology, new information and communication technology, new intelligent science technology and technology of new application are four different types of technologies with deep integration. Gradually, a new ecological system of economy and society of mankind will be built. Smart IoT covers all kinds of market system of digital new economy in which IoT integrates deeply with national economy, people’s living and livelihoods as well as national security. A new pattern of world and society will emerge”.

Mr. He Xuming emphasized that “New economy means the globalization of digital economy supported by the internet of things, integrating traditional economy and new generation of information technology. After upgrading, it will generate a new economic model from visualized real-time tracking and tracing to commercial customization, which, according to him, is the highest period of new economy. This new model can promote a big change and transformation in world economy and society. This is also what I call World IoT new economy, which will be a trend and direction of global development in the future”.

According to Mr. Liu Yanshe, “IoT digital economy has become an important engine driving the economic and social development of China and the rest of the world and represents a strategic option for seizing new opportunities of new round of technological revolution and industrial revolution. It promises a new force of economy in the new era and in the new context and presents another chance for important development facing the human society”.

As Mr. WONG Chau Chi suggested, “There is no doubt that on the technological level, IoT will have an influence upon this industry, and many forms of life and ecology can integrate the global economy. I firmly believe the prosperous development of IoT and the future development of new economy will in real sense achieve the interconnection of everything and everyone will have their own digital space at any time in any place”.

Mr. Wang Zhicheng said “The development of the whole economy is closely linked with the continuous new breakthrough of demand and supply side. To realize industrial digitalization, we need to provide our production and service through online channels. The IoT is an important part of global economy”.

Ms. Mou Lei said “We have currently made possible the connection of people, and the next step is the connection of things, which will certainly give birth to new economic system. The new economy comes from the interactive development of digital and real economies”.

At the Industrial IoT Forum, Mr. Sun Pu, General Manager of R&D COSMOPlat IoT Technology Co., Ltd, Mr. Gu Mu, Vice President of the Platform and Industry Department of CASICloud, Ms. Yang Chunli, Deputy Director of CSTC, and Mr. Gao Fengxing, Senior Expert of Solutions for Enterprises of Nokia Shanghai Bell gave wonderful speeches with themes including “Build a new industrial Internet ecology and unleash new momentum for the digital economy”, “The applications and practices of Edge Cloud's empowerments on Industrial IoT”, “Focus on quality to improve the self-confidence and self-strength of Industrial IoT” and “Nokia Bell wireless private network - the bolster for the process of digitalization of enterprises” respectively. Following their speeches, the founding ceremony of WIOTC Industry Commission was launched and certifications were awarded to first members including CASICloud, COSMOPlat, E-Surfing IoT of China Telecom, Nokia Shanghai Bell, and China Unicom Digital Tech.

Mr. Sun Pu said “The digital transformation has five stages, which include single-point experiment, partial promotion, expansive replication, operation and management and optimized innovation. In specific practices, Haier COSMOPlat summed up “five” modes of empowerments consisting of digitalization of scene, digitalization of enterprises, digitalization of park, digitalization of industry and digitalization of city. The digital economy has entered a golden period and this is an inevitable choice for high-quality economic development”.

Mr. Gu Mu said, “Currently the relevant applications of the whole industrial IoT have evolved into the sector of cloud plus edge plus industrial process. The application of Industrial IoT is found at the lower level and is increasingly empowering the industrial site. The edge computing has brought about the optimalization and upgrading of applied scenes, including improving the flexibility, reducing the complexity of the site, achieving the possibility of super-low computing handling, lowering the demand of external network with broadband and providing the ability of data collection and processing. At the same time, it can offer the computing competence of the local and increase the reliability of computing process”.

Ms. Yang Chunli said “The industrial IoT has the basis for large-scale universal application and will drive manufacturing towards cohesive development mode that is digitalized, network-based, high-end and green. In the ten years to come, large-scale popularity and application are necessary for industrial IoT, which is the important underpinning of digital transformation of manufacturing”.

Mr. Gao Fengxing said, “For enterprises to achieve digitalized transformation, Nokia Bell can help enterprises realize the coordination of business and environment in a joint effort to achieve the goals of sustainable development”.

Mr. Guo Yongjiu, Executive Director of Advanced Technology Research Institute of Anhui Longcom IoT Co., Ltd made a speech titled “Developing digital agriculture helps rural revitalization”. Besides, Mr. SHEN Jie, Chairman of Zhejiang Qingyutang Technology Co., Ltd spoke with the theme “The breakthrough and establishment of digital agriculture”. Following their speeches, the founding ceremony of Digital Agriculture Commission and certifications were awarded to the first members including Anhui Longcom IoT Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Qingyutang Technology Co., Ltd, Beijing Nongxin Internet Technology Group, Zhejiang Lishi Technology, Heilongjiang Shendingfeng, Hainan Huicheng Digital Technology, Sinovation Ventures, and BRIC Agri-Info Group. The forum was co-organized by Beijing Agricultural Internet Association.

Mr. Guo Yongjiu mentioned that on the basis of 13 years of professional experiences, Longcom has introduced the path of digital agriculture: create the digitalized high-standard farm lands and the digitalized platform of whole industrial chain of agricultural productions. Meanwhile, we have developed systems of disaster warning, growth diagnosis and production prediction based upon satellite remote sensing and unmanned vehicle remote sensing as well as systems of crops expert diagnosis based on artificial intelligence, quality and safety of green agricultural products and system of brand operation and supply and marketing transaction of agricultural products.

Mr. Shen Jie said “The digital agriculture is not simply the application of information technology in agriculture but the systematic technological revolution and change of productive relations”. He elaborated on the breakthrough and establishment of some aspects including industrial chain labor division, agricultural time-space relevance, agricultural production bodies, production, supply and marketing decision-making, attributive of assets of agricultural products, standardization of agricultural products, and integration of agriculture, culture and tourism. He also shared with us the creation of fishery IoT based on the six-domain model and view of empowering the supply chain through IoT digitalization to drive transformation in fishing breeding.

After the speeches, Mr. Shen Jie hosted the roundtable dialogue of Digital Agriculture Forum.

Ms. Yu Ying, Vice President of Beijing Nongxin Internet Technology Group, Mr. Chen Haijiang, Founder and Chairman of Zhejiang Lishi Technology, Mr. Zhan Lixin, Chairman of Heilongjiang Shendingfeng, Mr. Xu Zhuang, Chairman of Hainan Huicheng Digital Technology and Ms. Zhang Lijun, Partner of Sinovation Ventures and Mr. Sun Tong, Founder of BRIC Agri-Info Group joined the in-depth discussion by focusing on the topics of “Significance and goal of digital agriculture to the development of China and globalization; “The biggest challenge and difficulty facing the current development of digital agriculture; and “Can the pattern and development of future industry of digital agriculture lead to a phenomenal change in the world?”

While giving a speech for the Digital Energy Forum, Mr, Liang Jianyong, former Director of Information Center of National Energy Administration, said in the field of energy, the digital technology represented by the internet of things is integrating deeply with traditional business, improving the production efficiency of traditional business in an all-round way and promoting the transformation and development of industry. The innovation and development of energy IoT, more importantly, requires us to achieve consensus and win-win cooperation.

Mr. Cao Yang, General Manager of IoT Department of Baidu AI Cloud, made a speech themed “Baidu AI Cloud Du Energy-The digital-intelligent transformation of carbon and energy with carbon peak and neutrality targets”, explaining the goals set for peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality and current progress. He also talked about the work done in the process of realizing carbon neutrality and digitalization and intelligence before sharing typical cases of application and practice.

Ms. He Nan, Director of Department of Planning and Development of Zhongneng Integrated Smart Energy Technology Co., Ltd, gave a speech entitled “Establish the National Energy Industrial Internet Platform, Promote the Digital Transformation of Energy Sector”, hoping to establish a national smart energy industry brain, which we hope can cover all stakeholders of energy industry in order to build a unified system and create actual intelligent energy applications relating to traditional fossil fuels and other energy forms.

Mr. Sandy Lyu, Energy, Resources and Industrials Business Leader, Operations Transformation Offering Leader of Deloitte, presented his speech “Strategy for Energy enterprise transformation on the journey to carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”. He said in Deloitte’s global white paper, there were observations and thoughts on sustainable development, in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and in the course of speeding up green transformation, especially the application of green technology, ability building at the lower level in the process of transformation.

Mr. He Chaolin, Director, Digital Power Grid Technology of China Southern Power Grid, spoke with the theme “The Exploration and practices of power whole-area IoT Construction for new type of electric power system”, expounding some experiences and explorations and sharing with us the challenge and demand for the new type of electric power system construction.

In his speech “Smart grids - sustainable energy in real estate”, Mr. Martin Schnauss, Professor of ZHAW School of Management and Law, Switzerland, talked about the application of IoT in the field of real estate. The wide application of IoT technology and the use of smart grid bring us into the topic of energy in real estate and the issue of sustainable development. Through IoT technology and smart grids, the measures related can be implemented and smart grids can be used for energy management.

At the Transportation and Auto Intelligence Forum co-organized by Beijing Auto Museum, Mr. Liu Shaoqing, Deputy Director of National Innovation Center of High-Speed Train presented his speech with the topic of “The development and exploration of new technology of rail transit equipment”, suggesting that “Safe, quality, efficient and green rail transit equipment is an eternal theme. By employing the technologies of IoT and big data, and through the highly efficient integrated interaction of people-vehicle, we will quickly advance the technological development of rail transit. In the meantime, he put forward the direction toward the development of intelligence, build the system of autonomous safety assurance, improve the experience of travelers when seating on the train, and achieve completely autonomous operation and remote intelligent running and maintenance of the train”.

Mrs. Pan Rong, Chief Expert of Data Governance in the Asia Pacific, BSI, made a speech entitled “How to reduce the risk of internet of vehicles efficiently”. She explained that “The extensive application of ICT technology brings something new to the car with big change. The intelligent, connected, electric and sharing vehicles bring convenience to users while triggering hidden risks of safety related to function, network, and data. To this end, we need to strengthen the use of standards of every country and international standards to tackle the issue of lowering the risks of internet of vehicles”.

In his speech called “Satellite mobility and 5G integrated network - their application of connected internet of things of vehicle”, Mr. WONG Chau Chi, Chairman of Silkwave Inc., said we have covered the broadcasting satellite with high orbit and high wave, so it can provide the transmission service of a large amount of volume and video data for internet of vehicles and smart city and other areas through point to unlimited points. He proposed that “To achieve interconnection is the interconnection of all people and the universe; the combination of high and low orbit satellite and underground 4G and 5G network is the best solution, and it is also the direction of 6G”.

After the forum were the founding ceremonies of WIOTC Digital Energy Commission, Transportation and Auto Intelligence Commission and Smart Life Commission. Certifications were respectively awarded to the first members including Haier Smart Home, Baidu AI Cloud, Silkwave Inc., Great Wall Motor (GWM), PATEO, Beijing Auto Museum, Solar Power, Yutong Intelligence Technology and Navinfo.

At the Session of Exchanges on IoT International Cooperation, Mr. He Qiang, Executive Secretary General of WIOTC, introduced the vision and plan of WIOTC. He called for efforts to increase members of WIOTC Presidium while telling the conditions and measures of joining WIOTC with membership as well as conditions and measures for how to join global industry-specific commissions on industry, agriculture, digital energy, transportation and auto intelligence and smart life. At the same time, he announced the plans of 2023 World Internet of Things Convention and World IoT Top 500 Summit, expressing willingness to work with governments from other countries, local governments, international organizations, business associations, and famous companies to cohost relevant activities in 2013 and jointly promote the development and construction of IoT digital economy in China and the rest of the world.

Mr. Huang Ying, Vice President of Lenovo Group, made a speech called “Edge cloud network empowering the transformation of digitalization and intelligence”, sharing with us Lenovo edge cloud platform architecture and ability as well as corresponding cases by featuring the intelligent transformation of vertical sectors empowered by edge computing. He mentioned that an open platform requires the joint involvement of various upstream and downstream enterprises, thus saying we hope to build such a platform by working with application and service suppliers through the World Internet of Things Convention and promote the early realization of industrial intelligence.

Mr. Jiang Shuo, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of CASME High-Tech Industry Branch spoke with the theme “Full interconnection conducive to the digitalized and high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises”, explaining how the CASME promotes the high-quality development of enterprises by focusing upon the situation of the digital transformation of SMEs when it comes to the digitalized transformation of SMEs.

Mr. Zhang Zhan, CEO of Yutong Intelligent Technology, spoke with the theme of “Practices of trusted intelligence-aided medical diagnosis”, focusing on the aspect of “using new generation of artificial intelligent technology to empower medical system”. He said we hope we can cooperate with more business partners, bringing intelligence and Informatization with more platforms to jointly build the IoT of smart medical treatment and healthy life and create new ecology.

At the closing ceremony, WIOTC released the World IoT Awards 2022 including WIOT Leading Person of the Industry, WIOT Special Contribution Award, WIOT Promotion Award, WIOT Outstanding Person of the Year, and so on. In particular, Haier Smart Home, COSMOPlat, CASICloud, E-surfing IoT, Silkwave Inc, PATEO, Baidu AI Cloud, Longcom IoT, Zhejiang Qingyutang Technology, Huawei and so on won the awards of WIOT Leading Enterprise Award and WIOT Innovation Project Award and others.

In closing remarks, Mr. Zhang Hua, Vice Chairman of WIOTC Executive Committee, summed up that this year’s annual conference sorted out the relationship between IoT and digital economy, pointed to the direction of IoT digital economic development, and provided measures for building the world new economic system for governments and enterprises from other countries. All these are helpful to enhance international cooperation, reduce the digital divide and promote the recovery and innovative development of world economy and society. This convention is held as prelude to a fully connected new era of pushing forward the development of IoT digital economy around the globe. He added that we welcome all participants to attend the global events of 2023 World IoT Top 500 Summit and 2023 World Internet of Things Convention. The convention was successfully concluded in rounds of applauses in a celebratory atmosphere.
