Dear partners,

Distinguished guests, 

On behalf of the Arab Information and Communication Technology Organization — AICTO, I am delighted to extend my warmest congratulations to the World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) on its 10th Anniversary.

This remarkable milestone marks a decade of dedication to advancing global IoT development, fostering innovation, and promoting international cooperation for a smarter and more connected world.

At AICTO, operating under the umbrella of the League of Arab States, we attach great importance to the evolution of digital technologies, the Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence as the main drivers of sustainable digital transformation across the Arab region.

Our mission is to:

• Reinforce cooperation and complementarity among Arab countries;

• Promote unified ICT strategies and policies;

• And implement regional programs and projects in areas such as digital trust, smart cities, and digital innovation, to serve both the Arab region and the global community.

As digital transformation reshapes economies and societies, international collaboration has never been more essential. AICTO is committed to expanding its partnerships with leading organizations like WIOTC, to share expertise, exchange best practices, and co-develop innovative initiatives.

We also work to unify Arab positions in international forums, ensuring that the region’s priorities and perspectives are reflected in global digital governance.

Our efforts focus on joint projects in key areas such as cybersecurity, data governance, and e-trust services, while promoting smart agriculture and digital inclusion to strengthen the Arab region’s participation in the global digital economy.

To achieve these ambitions, AICTO continues to focus on:

• Capacity Building, by empowering Arab youth and professionals with cutting-edge skills in AI, IoT, and cybersecurity.

• Digital Investment, by attracting and facilitating investment in the Arab ICT sector.

• Technical Studies, to guide the formulation of regional standards and policies — from IPv6 transition to smart cities and digital trust frameworks.

• And Resource Mobilization, to ensure the implementation of strategic initiatives such as the Arab IoT & AI Challenge and projects supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of our ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and collaboration on emerging technologies, I am pleased to announce the upcoming AI-Forward Summit, organized by AICTO during the period from 30th of November to the 3rd of December 2025 in Tunis.

This major international event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to explore how Artificial Intelligence can drive sustainable development and inclusive growth across our region and beyond.

We look forward to welcoming you and shaping together the future of AI and IoT for a better world.

为了实现这些目标，AICTO持续聚焦以下重点领域：

• 能力建设，赋能阿拉伯青年与专业人士，使其掌握人工智能、物联网和 网络安全等前沿技能。

• 数字投资，吸引并便利资本投入到阿拉伯地区信息通信技术产业

• 技术研究， 开展从IPv6过渡到智慧城市、数字信任框架等领域的专题研究、为区域标准政策制定提供指引。

• 资源调动，保障“阿拉伯物联网与人工智能挑战赛”以及支持联合国可持续发展目标等战略举措的落地实施。

为持续推动新兴技术领域的对话与合作，我谨此荣幸地宣布：由AICTO主办的“AI前瞻峰会”将与2025年11月30日至12月3日在突尼斯举行。

这场国际盛会届时将汇聚全球的政策制定者、行业领袖、科研人员与创新实践者，共同探讨人工智能如何推动本地区乃至全球范围内的可持续发展与包容性增长。
